This machine was made for the beginners up to the full time taxidermists. It uses a regular twelve inch blade, runs on two special brass bushings.  The inner structure is 3/16 inch of plate aluminium. The exterior cover is made of very resistant moulded plastic. Click on photos below:

The guards can be adjusted to expose more or less blade. This determines how wide a bite you take with every pass. A beginner would want it one to two inch, a good operator can handle tree, four, five inches (photo 1) with out making holes. By wrapping the skin over the guards, it will bend and present itself at the write angle (photo 2). Simply pull the skin from left to write and you will shave the distance between your hands. This could be 10-15-20 inches. The sharpeners permit you to gently push the blade lip half a degree up or half a degree down. This will determine the thickness of the shave. It's easy to say but you will need practice to make the blade do what you want. Once you get the feeling, you can control the thickness of the cut. We recommend you take half of what you want to remove and overlap your passes like a shingled roof (half of the previous one and half in the "unfleshed" part). (photo 3) The slower speed of this blade make it more forgiving for beginners yet fast enough for any big job. You can expect to flesh a deer cape in less than 30 minutes, once you become very good at it, 15 minutes or less is attainable. (photo 4)

It can remove flesh, fat, tissue very easily. It's even easier if the skin has been salted for a day or two. The easiest way is to salt and pickle, then flesh. At this stage the skin can be shaved down to whatever thickness you desire. It can also be used to thin tanned skins. The QUEBEC LITE is made to flesh thin skins like racoons, coyotes even foxes. A deer cape can easily be fleshed in less than thirty minutes. Heavy hides such as moose, elk, buffalo are also possible to do on this machine.

You are probably telling yourself "this is to good to be true". "I surely could not learn to flesh a deer cape in less than 30 minutes".
